Dame Margaret Barbour designed the Bedale to meet the needs of jockeys: it featured a short length, a relaxed fit, rear vents, and the essential nylon drip tape that prevented moisture from the horse from seeping into the jacket. Crafted from a highly functional, mid-weight (170g) waxed cotton and featuring an optional zip-off thermal lining and hood, the Bedale is the perfect jacket for year-round wear. The Bedale's popularity has inspired a slimmer women's style, the Beadnell, named after a small fishing village in Northumberland. The model is wearing a size 48 and is 190cm tall. Medium ironing is recommended. Autumn/Winter season.
